Born and raised in Japan; Yukki is the founder and the director of Balance.
With 20 years of experience in the hair industry and ongoing, Yukki had been working in Tokyo, Japan for 5 years, where he was a stylist for numerous celebrities; London, UK for 2 years; and finally moved to Toronto in 2004. While in Canada, Yukki had worked in various salons around the city, but has since founded Balance back in 2011.

Kanako Hashimoto
Senior Stylist
Kanako was born and raised Japan and is the second director along with Yukki.
She has been in the hairdressing industry for 16 years. After graduating from Glamour Kansouri Hairdressing College in Osaka Kanako has participated and achieved impressive results in numerous competitions: she came second in OPK - the make-up and hair up-do competition and was in the top 5 in the hairdresser magazine Photoshoot Contest.

Shoko Chikama

I began my career as a hairdresser in Sapporo, Japan, where I worked at a salon for nine years before moving to Toronto in 2016 to continue my craft.
I specialize in creative hair design, detailed hair arrangements, and relaxing head spa treatments. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with clients of all ages—from young children to seniors—which has helped me develop a flexible and thoughtful approach to hair care.
